Freddy Fox looked nervously at the list of names on the board. There it was! His name was written in bold letters.
He was going to be the star in their school's musical, "All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten".

Freddy Fox had been so scared when he had to go in for his audition and sing in front of Mrs. T, his music teacher. His hands had been shaking, his heart had been racing, and his lips quivering, but he had done it.
His mom told him that she was so proud of him for working hard and being brave enough to try something new. Freddy Fox couldn't wait to go home and tell her the exciting news!
Mom gave him a huge hug, told him that she was so proud of him, and then dished out some ripe berries to celebrate. His friends Olivia Owl and Timmy Tiger were also going to be in the musical, so they came over to join the celebration!

Practices started the next day after school and Freddy worked really hard to learn his lines and sing his best. Sometimes he would get so nervous that he would forget what he was supposed to say.

His friends, Olivia Owl and Timmy Tiger helped him practice and told him that he was going to do a great job. Sure enough, after a few weeks of practice, his hands stopped shaking and he realized that he could do it! Soon, opening night would arrive and the three friends could hardly contain their excitement.

One night during rehearsal, his director looked worried and stressed. Freddy Fox asked her, "Mrs. T? Is something wrong? Why do you look so worried?"

Mrs. T looked at Freddy and said, "We just learned that some of our costumes are missing and the show is in one week! Whatever will we do?"
Olivia Owl, Freddy Fox, and Timmy Tiger looked at each other. What could they do to help? They started to think about what they knew.

"How many people are in the show?" Timmy Tiger asked. Freddy Fox looked up at the stage and counted the people sitting there added himself to that number, and then turned to his friends.

"We know that there are 12 people in the show. How many costumes do we have in the closet right now?" Olivia Owl checked the closet and counted, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. We have 8 costumes in the closet right now. So we need..."
