I am a believer in making others happy
I wonder if people actually care how others feel
I hear my family fighting like wolves
I see fake and backstabbing people
I want the same respect back
I am ready for a new change
I pretend to think people respect others
I feel worthy of who I am
I worry that people hurt themselves after getting bullied
I cry for the family loses their loved ones
I am upset with what this world has become
I understand cooking,friendships, and happiness
I Am Poem: Fight for what's right
I say “I love you” or “Everyone is beautiful in their own way”
I dream people will stand up for others
I try and give to others in need
I hope bullying won’t be a thing anymore
I am a woman that wants people to listen to me speak to make this world a better place.
Response:
I wrote this poem like this because this world needs more people who will stand up for who is in trouble. We need to make this world right and happy again. The effect i want this poem to have is people learning that the way people are getting treated hurts them. Its not fair people are hurting inside because some is pulling them down.

Danica
Outgoing, loving, sassy, sarcastic
Cousin of Jaxon, Natalie, and Noella
Lover of orange chicken, root beer, and twix
Who feels ecstatic when family gets along, excited when holding a baby, and loved when cousins hug me
Who needs attention, youtube marathons, and taking pictures of nature
Who gives her all to make people happy, amazing advice, and time for others
Who fears germs, clowns, and stretch marks
Who would like to see Paris, Bora Bora, and Oklahoma
Resident of Lakeside

Me, Myself, And I
Response:

I wrote this poem this way because i love to talk about myself. I like to tell people a little about me for those who dont know me well.

The smile you had on your face
Your eyes would shine so blue
Candies and chocolates were your favorite
Laughing when you got mad at me
Then you would pull my hair
Watching you go to the drugstore
Just so you could throw your life away
Even though it cost more than a dime
You still thought we had the money for it
But we didnt, i didnt want to have to let you go
But i did, mommy dearest

Mommy Dearest

Why’d you have to leave me alone to take care of my baby bro
Watching you throw your life away made me sadden..
I loved you, mommy dearest, why’d you have to go
Response:
I wrote this poem this way cause i love my mom so much I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. We are best friends no matter how mad we make each other, we are always there for each other. I want the effect to be always love your parents.
May 6th 2017, at six at night
Laying in a hospital bed, that was in the living room
At six at night
Watching you struggle to breathe with your mouth open
At six at night
Helping you stay hydrated with a soaked sponge i put in your mouth
At six at night
Your eyes stay closed, your body stayed still
At six at night
Everyone surrounds your bed
At six at night
The little kids play outside
At six at night
While you gargle and then stop
our lovely angel
At six at night
It was your grandsons birthday
At six at night
The girls were helping cook his favorite food
At six at night
While i watched you laying there in pain
At six at night
I gave you water on the soaked sponge
At six at night
As it was in your mouth, you grabbed ahold and opened your eyes a little
At six at night
Then let go and the breathing had longer pauses..
At six at night
I called everyone inside except the kids
At six at night
You waited for everyone to be in the room
At six at night
As i was crying with your hand in mine
At six at night
You took your last breath.
At six at night
And then you were gone
At six at night
Had to call hospice to come pick you up
At six at night
I picked out your favorite outfit
At six at night
It was a ruby red dress with a black cardigan
At six at night
Auntie Linda braided your hair,
At six at night
As Natalie picked out a flower to put in your hair
At six at night
Uncle and I took off your clothes to dress you up
At six at night
Hospice arrives while everyone cries
At six at night
They brought out a white body bag
At six at night
They put you in it and took you away
At six at night
We all stand on the porch and watch the van roll away
At six at night
Tears rolling down our face one last time like a waterfall
At six at night
We go inside and dry the tears away with a rough paper towel
At six at night
Just to put on a fake smile for show
At six at night
The family gathers around to have a great time for your life and grandson's birthday
At six at night
Sleep peacefully for forever and always
Response:

I wrote this poem like this because when my great grandma died it was very hard after taking care of her for a few days. i didn't see as often as i would of liked but i know my grandma loved me. The effect i want to have is that it is okay to lose a loved one, they will always be with you.
Softball: [sawft - bawl] , noun. , a form of baseball played on a smaller diamond with a ball that is larger and softer than a baseball: Early mornings and late nights; Lots of fruit and energy bars; A quick 15 minute nap in between games; Dirty uniforms from head to toe like a pig playing in mud for mom to wash; Long carpool road trips with some of your teammates; Big purple bruises on your shins; Big water jugs to drink; Glitter bows, visors, and eye black.

Response:
I wrote this poem because i live for softball. i eat, practice, sleep, eat, game, repeat. I just love it so much even though it takes up most of my time, its worth it. The effect i want is for everyone to find some sport they absolute love because its very healthy for us in every way.
