I am a supporter of fairness
I wonder if people think I dislike them
I hear old friends talking down on me
I see nothing but ignorance in them
I want a world where everyone sees corruption and people how they truly are
I am an understanding person
I pretend I don’t have responsibilities when trying to have fun,
I feel sorry for those who are selfish
I Am Poem: Me, Myself, and I
I worry for those who are unhappy with their lives
I cry like a baby when I’m stressed out
I am disheartened nobody cares to hear the opposing side of the story
I understand heartbreak, loss of loved ones, and unfairness
I say that I am alright to those around me so I can focus on how they’re doing and let their problems crawl to me
I dream that people will understand me and my problems
I try to show the better things in bad situations
I hope people value themselves
I am a powerful individual and my words mean something
Nicole
Shy, Adventurous, Frank, Considerate
Daughter of Joshua and Tresha
Lover of Tristen, Family, and Animals
Who feels happy when at the beach, on vacation, being two peas in a pod with Tristen, and while eating like a pig
Who needs food, fun activities, and laughter
Who gives laughter like a comedian, happiness, and joy to those around
Who fears dying, being murdered, and being kidnapped
Who would like to see Germany, the Eiffel Tower, and New York City
Resident of San Diego
Guymon
Bio Poem: Nicole Guymon
Opening the wrapped bag
Pulling out the bright, orange chips
Looking up with a smile
Releasing the fire in my hands into my mouth
Quietly crunching
Hearing the cheetos hiss as they touch my tongue
I look down after finishing
Quietly grabbing another
Enjoying the orange snack
‘Till I look down for another
To realize there’s none left
Re-Creation Poem: The Last Cheeto
Stylistic Imitation Poem: A Day I Wish I Could Change
At three o’clock in the afternoon.
It was at three o’clock in the afternoon.
Three siblings gathered
at three o’clock in the afternoon
Confused and worried
at three o’clock in the afternoon
Being told it’s not their fault
at three o’clock in the afternoon
Their parents saying they still love them
at three o’clock in the afternoon
The children sit in confusion
at three o’clock in the afternoon
While their parents speak like they’re unhappy
at three o’clock in the afternoon
Trying to get a grip on what’s happening
at three o’clock in the afternoon
But they’re all too young to understand
at three o’clock in the afternoon
And now they can’t change anything
at three o’clock in the afternoon
Definition Poem: Annoying
Annoying: [uh-noy-ying], adjective, a description of something or someone that you can completely not stand; irritating; bothersome: When people can’t drive like a normal person; When you slick your hair into a ponytail and there’s that one bump; When you put your hair into a ponytail and can’t find a hair tie; Slow wifi; Having your stomach growl in really quiet places; When people talk behind your back; Having to take P.E. senior year because the school won’t count cheer for credits even though I lettered for it...
Limerick Poem: Cheese
There was a little girl who loved cheese
She loved it even though it made her sneeze
She ate it a lot
More than she had thought
Now she is stuck eating chickpeas
Ode Poem: Ode to Pizza
O, delicious pizza, how you are so cheesy
With your warm, soft cheese like a blanket
You cover my mouth with deliciousness
You make me feel good with your garlic tasting crust
I eat so much of you, my buttons will bust
Your triangle shape is oh so pretty
Makes square shaped pizza feel with pity
With topping so good like pepperoni
It is far more better than a calzoney
Oh pizza, oh pizza, I love you so much
I am going to eat you for breakfast, dinner, and lunch
Found Poem: Tired Morning
Spoons and glasses in my room
My frog yelling at the birds singing
Morning breath hanging out my crusted lips
My body hanging like a bag
Resenting to rise up out of my bed
Morning’s light shimmering in my room
Closing my night light off
I rise out of my bed
With my hands and arms
To start my morning
