Farmer Brown owned a huge farm. He had all types of domestic animals : cows, hens, horses, donkeys, etc. He didn't eat those animals, he instead sold them as pets. But few animals, he kept with himself. One day, as he was sowing a few seeds, he saw that his hen had laid three eggs. He was over joyed that he could sell more chicks and get more money. He fed the hen more and more grains so that her babies become healthy and plump. He waited eagerly for the eggs o hatch.

Yippee !
After a few days, the three eggs hatched. Two chicks came out at first, but the third chick came out slowly. Farmer Brown noticed that the third chick was handicap, and that it couldn't fly. He was upset at first, but then he still kept that chick. On the news of the birth of the chicks, people ran to his farm and bought a few animals. They bought ducklings, and also chicks of other hens, not the handicap chick's mom's. The new born chicks weren't for sale because they were too small currently.

Farmer Brown also gave the chicks names ! The first chick born was 'Noodle', the second chick born was 'Dipsey', and the third chick, the handicap one was 'Birdie'. Many visitors who came to the farm cuddled Birdie, but they didn't buy it because it was handicap. The hen didn't dislike Birdie just because he was handicap, but she instead loved it more so that Birdie could feel nice. Farmer Brown also decorated the chicks so that he can identify them : he gave Birdie a blue bow, Dipsey a red bow and Noodle a green bow. The chicks looked super cute like that !

Very soon, Noodle and Dipsey were sold too. Birdie was left all alone. He spent his spare time crying. He often asked god why was he handicap ? His mother knew how he felt. She consoled him that god made him handicap for a reason. She said that good fortune is waiting for him. She also told him that she loves him more that Noodle and Dipsey. Saying this, she wiped his tears and both of them were happy. As Birdie was the only chick left, Farmer Brown removed his blue bow.

Bye Birdie ! We will miss you.

Bye Dipsey ! Bye Noodle !
One week passed away, and Birdie lost hope of being sold to a kind owner. He was really sad. One day, a small girl visited the farm. She was handicap too, and she was on a wheelchair. She came o Farmer Brown's farm along with her mother. She had come to buy one animal. Her parents had given her a budget of a lot of money and said that she could buy any pet inn that budget. She looked at all the animals but could not find what she was looking for. Very soon she spotted Birdie. She saw that he was sad, and lonely, so she decided to take him home with her.
