Once upon a time, there lived a very lonely girl called 'Katie'. She had no friends. Katie had many toys, so she spent her day studying or playing with her toys. Katie had one little brother, called 'Keven'. Keven didn't go to school yet, as he was too small. Katie's only friend was Keven. But Keven was very tiny, so he couldn't talk, play tag or play volley ball with Katie. Katie also had a Labrador called 'Max'. Their parent went to office, and left Katie to take care of Keven. Katie loved reading fairy tales, and she often wondered whether they are real or not.

Katie's grandma had once told her, that if a shooting star falls on the day of your birthday and you make a wish in time, your wish will actually become true ! Katie's birthday was there day after tomorrow, and she wished that a shooting star falls on her birthday. Try guessing what Katie will wish for ? But anyway, she was waiting eagerly for her birthday. Then, her grandma told her another fairy tale, which put Katie and Keven to sleep. Friends, do you think a shooting star will fall on her birthday ? Wait and watch, my friends.

Today, was Katie's birthday. Her mother baked a chocolate cake for her. Keven and her father bought a necklace for her, and her grandmother bought her a book called 'In Your Dreams...', which was a book about fairies. Katie enjoyed her day with her family. At night, her grandmother took her in their yard. Katie stared at the stars, waiting eagerly for a shooting star to pass by. She waited for an hour, and suddenly a shooting star passed. She quickly made her wish before the star went on the other side. Her wish was, "I want a very special friend". She was happy that she at least made a wish on her birthday. And her granny never lied, so her wish might come true.

The next day, when Katie came back from school, Max was nowhere to be seen. Then Katie asked her mother, "Mum, where's Max ?" Her mother replied, "Honey, he must be in your room. He's not seen since morning !" Katie was puzzled, and she went into her room. She looked for him everywhere, but couldn't find him. Just as she was about to go, she heard Max under her room table. She picked him up and said, "Max, where have you been ?" She saw that Max was frightened by something. He was looking at the ceiling. She looked up, and saw something fly in a jiffy. Max got scared again. She went closer but couldn't see anything. Then she said, "Max, it must be a housefly. C'mon, lets go !"

When Katie was having her dinner, Max got scared again. Katie quickly finished her dinner and wondered why Max was behaving strange. Then she went to her room and stared at the same place where Max was staring. Suddenly, something shimmered and flew. Katie went really close, and discovered that it was a fairy ! The fairy also saw Katie. Then Katie asked, "A-a-are y-you a f-f-fairy ? Am I dreaming ?" Then the fairy replied in a soft voice, "Are you Katie, or have I come in the wrong place ? Are you the same girl who wished for a very special friend ? If you are, I am that special friend." Katie said, "Whoa ! It will be cool to have a fairy as a friend !"

The fairy's name was 'Ruby'. She came there because Katie had asked for a special friend on the day of her birthday. So, as time passed, Katie and Ruby became great friends. Max was no more scared of Ruby. Ruby told Katie the secret of how she flies. There is something called 'pixie dust' which fairies put on their wings before flying. Ruby also said that she lived in 'Fairyland'. Katie wanted to visit Fairyland, so Ruby promised her that they will go to Fairyland together the next day. Ruby also gave her a condition of being her friend : never to tell anyone about her. Katie happily agreed, as she got her first best friend ! She was also very excited about visiting Fairyland.

Today, Katie was going to Fairyland along with Ruby. Ruby said that there are many entrances to Fairyland. There is also one entrance to Fairyland from Katie's home ! So Ruby simply took Katie to her yard, and stood n front of a giant mushroom. Then she said a magic spell, and the mushroom got a door on it, which was the entrance to Fairyland. Then they were transported from Katie's yard directly into Ruby's home. Ruby's home was made of chocolates, candies and all the sweet things which Katie liked. Just as Katie was about to pick a candy, Ruby stopped her. Ruby said, "Whoever tastes a candy from anyone's home, they will be forced to stay in Fairyland forever !"

Ruby wanted to show Katie all over Fairyland, her friends and her pet Pegasus. Ruby had two horses : a Pegasus called 'Snowdrop' and a Princess Pony called 'Applejack'. Snowdrop and Applejack were really cute, and loved by all. First, Ruby took Katie to meet Snowdrop and Applejack. Applejack neighed happily in seeing Katie. Katie had brought her camera along, so she took a few snaps with the Princess Pony and the Pegasus. After that, Ruby took Katie to the street where all the shops were lined up. But today, not a single fairy was shown ! This was strange.

Then Ruby went and knocked on her friend's home. The slowly opened the door and told Ruby all what had happened when she was away. Her fairy friend in the blue dress called 'Sofia' told her, "Thank God you came, Ruby. While you were away, the evil witch, 'Adelynn', came and threatened all of us that if she sees any one of us outside our homes, she will do black magic on us and curse us that none of the people we know will recognise us ever ! And remember, that she is still the most powerful in the whole of Fairyland !" Ruby, and especially Katie, was shocked to hear all this. She suggested Ruby to immediately take things into her hands, so that they can save Fairyland.

Then Sofia took Ruby and Katie inside her home, so that they could discuss the matter peacefully. In Sofia's home, Ruby's other friend was also there. She was a fairy who wore a yellow dress, and her name was 'Lily'. Ruby, Katie, Sofia and Lily discussed the matter together. Katie, being the smartest of all, had the brightest ideas. For example, one of her idea's was to form an army against Adelynn, which would fight for rightfulness. Everyone loved this idea, so they decided to do it. Ruby and Sofia went to tell people in each house about the army. Lily supervised all the weapons. And Katie taught people how to use those weapons.

As none of the fairy people were to be shown outside, they all went inside Sofia's home. In Sofia's home, in the kitchen, there was a huge room. So they all practiced there. Katie, Ruby, Sofia and Lily only supervised everything, and taught everyone. Meanwhile, at Katie's home, Max was strolling in the garden, and he came across the giant mushroom, and saw its door open. He went in and directly came inside Sofia's home. All the fairy people were scared and ran away. Only Ruby and Katie weren't scared, so looking at them, Sofia and Lily didn't get scared too. Then Katie told three of them who Max was, and where did her come from. Max could also help in the war against Adelynn !

Adelynn, the witch, had a magical crystal ball. She could see what Ruby and her friends were doing. Adelynn started cooking a magic potion in a boiling pot. She wanted to become the most powerful sorceress, so she wanted to drink the potion which she was making. She wanted one last, powerful ingredient, which was only found in Fairyland. She saw that the same ingredient found in Fairyland was missing. So she checked her magic cook book, and checked what that ingredient was called. She then checked her crystal ball, where the ingredient was found, so she set off towards Fairyland, to find that ingredient, and posses it.

Adelynn's pet snake, 'Funky', asked her why she was so sad. Then Adelynn replied, "Oh ! You silly creature ! I don't have a very important ingredient. You wont get it for me from Fairyland all alone, will you ? No, right ? So shut your mouth !"

In Fairyland, Max was about to take a candy from Sofia's home, when this time, Katie stopped him. She actually shouted, as she was really concerned about Max. Katie held Max tightly in her hands, and wont let go off him ! Why would Katie want her beloved Max to stay in Fairyland forever, without her ? Plus, Max was her first friend who could actually play with her !
