Nelson Mandela : A Life Story

Once upon a time, there was a young boy called Nelson. He was born in a South African village called Mvezo.
Nelson was a bright young boy who always dreamed of helping his country become prosperous.
During those years, people of South Africa were suffering a lot. The law in South Africa divided people based on color and people who were dark skinned had less rights than people who were white skinned.
Nelson realized how unfair this was. No one should be made to feel good or bad because of their skin color, something the person had no control over!
When Nelson grew up, he decided to join South - African politics. He was deeply moved by Mahatma Gandhi's non-violent movement and urged his country-men to fight for equal rights using the same principles.

However, Nelson started doubting whether the non-violent movement would actually help his countrymen achieve equality.
He created a separate secret group where he planned to bomb empty buildings in order to make the government take the message of equality seriously. Nelson was very clear that he would only bomb empty building because he did not want to hurt anyone.
Nelson's plan was found out by the government and he was captured and put in prison.
Guess the number of years Nelson spent in jail?
Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in jail. Imagine having to live in a room alone, having no one for company, not being able to see your family for 27 long years! How would you feel?
