When Sophie Anne was a little puppy, her owners had a mean, old cat.

It had scratched Sophie on her first day. Though the scratch had healed, Sophie still felt the embarrassment.

Every day Sophie would try to escape. But every day, like clockwork her owner Madeleine would carry her to the kitchen where the cat excitedly waited to pounce.

*whimper*

But one day Sophie Anne was shaking. The mean, old cat said "Why are you scared?"

"I thought you wanted to scratch me?"

"No. On the first day I was just scared of you. Is that why you always hid from me?"

The two apologized to each other. They decided to become friends.
