This is Carly the cow and she lives here on this farm with her friends and family.

Everyday she eats corn and grass on a mechanized farm. She is in close proximity with about 100 other cows. Cows consuming a lot of corn are more susceptible to E. coli infection, which can infect people who eat the meat.

If you don't know, the carbon cycle is a series where carbon compounds cycle through the air, ground, plants, animals, and fossil fuels. People and animals like Carly breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide while plants inhale CO2 and exhale oxygen back into the atmosphere.

Carbon dioxide works with the greenhouse effect and traps heat in the environment. The more CO2 there is, the warmer the plant will get.
Carly farts and burps into the atmosphere after she eats and when she does this, the gas that she releases is carbon dioxide. This is a big environmental issue.
