Tomorrow is Tommy's first day of kindergarten. This is very exciting for me, as a mom. He gets ready by packing his backpack the night before. He goes to sleep early so he's ready for the next morning.

He wakes up to a delicious breakfast of pancakes. He's very happy because they are his favorite. Everyone eats at the table and I could tell Tommy was a little nervous.

After breakfast, I get Tommy in the car, and we drive to school. I pull up to the front and Tommy won't get out of his seat. "What's wrong, Tommy?" I ask.

"I don't want to go," Tommy said.

"But you have to be a big boy and go to school now," I respond.

"Come in with me!" he suggests.

"I can't Tommy, you have to go by yourself. You will be just fine on your own, and if you need help, ask a teacher."

"I'll pick you up right here when school is over, and you can tell me about your day. Love you, Tommy!"

"Okay. Love you, too!"
