This book is dedicated to my Mother In -Law, Sharon Diaz. For without her, I would not be blessed with this story.

My husband's mother is an amazing woman. If you could take all of the images, stories, songs and sayings about what a mother is supposed to be and roll them into one person...it would be her. She's the mom who greets you at the door with a big hug and kisses, even if you just saw her yesterday. She's the mother who calls at least once a week. She never forgets a birthday, anniversary, or any other moment that is important to her children and their families. She is always there if you need her, miles away or just down the street. Her grandchildren are her finest treasures. With all of her heart she adores them.

When your sick, she has chicken soup. When your down and troubled, she's a best friend. When you cry, she does too. She keeps you in her prayers, and when something exciting happens for you, she's right there cheering you on. Her home, like her heart, is always open.

The holiday season is one of my favorite times to spend with her. I love her excitement in getting everyone in the family together. Her decorating skills amaze me. Her presents are so beautiful you almost hate to unwrap them. We gather around the table and give thanks at Thanksgiving, and blessings at Christmas. Great food and even better stories get passed around the table.

To watch her admire her grandchildren is truly something beautiful. She has so much love for all of them. She makes their lives fun. At the holidays, she brings them traditions and makes memories that they can not only enjoy right now, but pass them on to their own someday. She will live forever in their hearts.
