I'd like to dedicate this story of the snow leopard to my Biology teacher, Mr. Nguyen. He's a great teacher and can make learning biology extremely simple as the way he can explain things is very professional. As of right now, he is here in Richmond High School teaching to Freshment students (9th graders). Hope to anyone who is reading this enjoys this masterpiece!

My father would never get annoyed by my questions, he was the one who guided me throughout my life. When I was just a little cub, I would ask my father, "Why do we have to live in cold, snowy places? I'm sick of living here where there is never anything new." My father would respond back with, "You'll understand when you're older, as of right now, we have to live in this area otherwise there may be a chance we will never see each other again." Since that day, I took those words seriously. My mother would never tell me anything either, instead, she would tell me to just listen to my father as he is correct. I was so confused, but I had to go with it. "Never leave our leap is what my mother would say."

I didn't mind the food we ate, it was actually very tasty. My father would often leave the territory of our leap along with my mother in order to catch their prey and bring it back to me. I would normally hide in our den which was only made out of sticks, but at least we had a house. My father would eat most of the meat, leaving only a little bit for my mother and I. I hardly ate anyway, but I just felt bad for my mother because she easily got tired from hunting. All we ate was pikas, hares, sheep, and goat. Anything with meat, we would eat it, making us carnivores!
My mother and father would often get in groups with other snow leopards. They were very good friends with them and would go hunting. I would be very happy whenever they would go hunting together because it meant more food for my mother and I. The only bad part was that I would be very lonely while they went hunting. Until one of the snow leopards gave birth to another cub. They named her, "Kairi." My mother called my name over to talk and spend time with her since she can't be alone, she was only 2 months old. "Kyle!" She would shout.
I consider our kind to be very powerful. I was told by my father that once I'm older, I would be able to run very fast and jump very high! These abilities would only let me escape from danger, but also catching my prey. If our prey every tries to outrun us, well, they can't! This doesn't mean we're dangerous, we're very respectful to humans, but we are told if there is ever harm coming our way, it is our job to protect each other.
