Monday morning came and Frankie was off to a brand new semester. She was mixed with feelings of excitement and dread. "New books, new faces, new things to learn! So many assignments, where should I even begin?" Ding! Ding! The cue of the bell prompted Frankie to run off to class.

Frankie got to class nice and early. She sat down, read the syllabus to herself, and thought,"Multimodal and hybrid forms? What does multimodal even mean?" Then the professor walked in and began going over the syllabus and talking about books. "You will need this book, this book, and this book. You will also need to do many projects and learn many things," said the professor, "but first, you must answer the question: what does multimodality mean?"

Frankie stood in her room that night, pondering that question over and over in her mind. Then, she got it! In order to find the answer she would have to do some research...

She searched near and far. She searched through every nook and cranny. Any space that she could find a clue to find out what multimodality meant. She searched anywhere she could walk, ride, or even run to. She could not find it...
