This book is dedicated to my little sister Tess, who loves her socks, put loves her pure toes even more!

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who did not like to wear socks. She liked to have pure toes (that means barefoot).

One day, her Mommy asked her: "Little Girl, would you please go to the store for me and get (Insert food of child's choice)?" "Okay Mommy," said Little Girl. "Remember to put on your new socks," her Mommy said.

Little Girl looked unsure and bit her lip. She would much rather have pure toes. But she didn't want to get in trouble. So she put on her oldest, thinnest purple socks. One sock had a tiny hole.

Little Girl started off to the store. It was a long walk. By the time she got home, she noticed that the hole in her sock had gotten bigger, and now, she could see her big toe.
The next day, the little girl's Mommy asked: "Can you please go to the store for me and get (Insert item of child's choice)?" "Okay Mommy," said Little Girl. "Remember to wear your new socks!" said her Mommy.
Little Girl looked guilty and stared at the floor. She went into her bedroom and put on her same pair of old socks with the hole in the toe.
She walked to the store and by the time she got home, the hole had gotten BIGGER AND BIGGER. Now Little Girl could see all her toes!
The next day, the little girl's Mommy asked her to go to the store to get (Insert item of child's choice). And once again, Little Girl put on her old, holey socks.
