"Perhaps, as some wit remarked, the best proof that there is Intelligent Life in Outer Space is the fact it hasn't come here. Well, it can't hide forever - one day we will overhear it."

Ventos Prime Penal Colony on
Planet Rognar

The Ventos Prime Penal Colony was established on a desolate planet called Rognar by the brutal Tudriks. The Tudriks were a scaly, creepy group of aliens who wanted to rule the universe. They had conquered several small planets in outer space sending many innocent aliens to prison. One day, a brave prisoner named Null from the planet Crex decided to escape. He was able to outrun the guards becoming the first and only alien to escape from Ventos Prime.

Null was able to commandeer a spacecraft that belonged to the Warden of the prison and fled the planet Rognar. He hoped to return to his home planet to see his family again but Null knew it was too dangerous. He didn't want to put his loved ones at risk. His first priority was to find a safe place to hide. But where? He began to review all the planets he had learned about in Outer Space School: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Earth. "Earth! That's perfect! They'll never think to look for me there!"

Unfortunately for Null, the Warden's spaceship had been implanted with a special tracking device. It was just a matter of time before the Tudriks were able to find Null and return him to prison. Or so they thought. Neither Null nor the Tudriks had ever been to Earth and didn't know what to expect. Null was able to land his spacecraft safely on Earth. The Tudriks soon followed as they were able to avoid detection by Earth's military radar systems.

Roswell, New Mexico
Planet Earth
"Here's my stop. You still coming over tonight to watch the basketball game Hank?" "Wouldn't miss it!" "Cool Beans! See you later dude." "Have a good night Mr. Foreman." "You too Neil. I'll see you bright and early tomorrow morning." "Ugh! Don't remind me" Neil chuckled as he exited the bus. He waved to his friends as the bus slowly drove off. "What a wonderful, sunny day. Maybe I'll take the long way home" Neil thought to himself.

"Okay Null, you've had your fun. It's time to take you back to Planet Rognar" one of the aliens commanded. "I think you have the wrong guy. I'm a 10 year old from Roswell, New Mexico." "You may have changed your appearance, but we know it's you. If you go peacefully we promise not to feed you to the Grimesouls." "Grimesouls?" The aliens started creeping closer and closer towards Neil. Terrified, he began to nervously shake as an apple rolled out of his gym bag. "Look out! It's a grenade!" As the aliens took cover, Neil was able to escape.

The aliens cowered in the bushes waiting for the 'bomb' to go off. It never did. "I'm going in for a closer look" Tudrik 1 declared. "Be careful" his fellow alien warned. After examining the 'bomb', Tudrik 1 shook his head in disbelief. "This isn't a bomb. I believe it's what these Earthlings call an apple." "An apple? Is it dangerous?" "Quite the opposite, Tudrik 2. It's a healthy fruit and apparently if you eat one a day, it'll keep the doctor away." Tudrik 1 blasted the apple with his laser gun out of anger. "Enough about the apple! We've got a fugitive to catch!"

Pinkman's Gas Station
Roswell, New Mexico

After walking a few blocks, Null came across a gas station. "Finally! I can get some fuel for my spaceship and head back into outer space. I'm sure the Tudriks are looking for me." "Neil? Where have you been? We've been looking all over for you!" a man began yelling. "Are you talking to me?" "I don't see any other Neils around here. And what's with that mustache?" Neil's Dad began pulling at Null's facial hair. "Owww!" "Sorry. We'll deal with that ridiculous mustache when we get home!" Neil's Dad lead Null by the hand and into the family car. "Where are you taking me Earthling?" "Earthling? What's wrong with you? I don't like your tone buster!"

"What is this contraption? Where are you taking me?" Null pestered Neil's Dad with questions. "Did you get bonked on the head during gym class again Neil? You're acting very strange." Scared and confused, Null agreed to play along with the Earthling and pretended to be his son Neil. "Uh, yeah. I hurt myself doing the sports." After a 20 minute drive, the pair arrived home. "Go wash your hands. Mom was nice enough to keep your dinner warm." Unable to figure out how to work the faucet, Null made his way downstairs for dinner. To say that his table manners left something to be desired would be an understatement.

"Okay Neil, maybe some of Mom's home cooking will make you feel better. If you eat all of your veggies I'll let you have a piece of chocolate cake for desert.....What happened to your supper?" "Um, I finished it." "I literally put the plate down ten seconds ago." "He ate the plate as well and he didn't use a fork, knife, or even his hands. He inhaled the whole thing with his mustache!" Neil's sister Peyton exclaimed. "Maybe you should skip your bath tonight and head straight to bed." "Bed?" "You know, where you sleep. Duh!" "Sleep?" "Be nice Peyton. Take your brother up to his room." "Oh, alright."

" ( sin θ1 )/(sin θ2 ) = v1 /v2 = n2 /n1 = λ1 /λ2. Though I could be wrong."

It was a long night for Null as Crexorians don't sleep. After breakfast, it was time for him to go to school. He got on the bus with the rest of the kids as they made their way to Bryan Cranston Elementary. "Why are you still wearing that silly mustache?" Peyton asked. "Take it off or you'll get detention." "GRRRR!" "Do you just growl at me?" "No, it was my mustache. He's hungry." "You are such a strange kid." The bell rang and the first class of the day was about to begin. It was Mathematics. "Would anyone like to come up front to solve this math problem?" An excited Null jumped at the chance. "Uh, I just wanted to know the answer to what 4 x 4 was" Ms. Gustavo uttered.

Neil had avoided capture by the Tudriks but found himself tired, cold, and hungry. He was lost and all alone. Looking for water or some berries, Neil stumbled upon what appeared to be a spaceship. "No way!" As he tried to open the hatch to the spacecraft, lights began flashing and an alarm began to blare. "INTRUDER! INTRUDER!" Frightened, Neil began to run in search of a new place to hide. He came upon an old house where an elderly man could be overheard talking to his wife. 'I'm going into town to get some groceries. Back in half an hour." Neil jumped onto the back of the truck undetected by the old man.
