"Grammy Tammy"

HONK! HONK!........HONK! HONK!
Mommy Tiffany honked the horn as she drove up the long driveway to Grammy Tammy's big house on the hill. Three year old Chloe and one year old Livvy are spending the day with Grammy Tammy while Mommy Tiffany takes Jillian to school and then goes shopping. Daddy Casey left for work earlier in the morning.

Grammy Tammy was waiting for the girls to arrive. "Hi sweet girls!", said Grammy Tammy. "Hi Grammy!", said Chloe. Livvy smiled and waved, and said "Hi!". Livvy is a big talker and "hi" is one of her best words. She is also a nature girl and does not like to wear clothes. Jillian waved from the car. Mommy Tiffany said, "I'll be back later, so you girls be good for Grammy. Thanks, Mom! I will not be gone long."

"Grammy, what are we going to do today?" asks Chloe. She continued, "Where's Grandpa Doug? Do chickens have ears? Can I have a snack? Is cousin Carol coming over today?" Chloe was full of questions.
Grammy laughed and said, "Grandpa Doug went to town to buy some tractor parts, and I suppose chickens have ears. Yes, Carol might be coming to see us this afternoon. Any more questions, Chlo-Chlo??? Let's go inside and work on a new puzzle, and you can have a snack."

Chloe ran up the steps and in to the house.
They started working on the puzzle. The puzzle box had a picture of a white hen with ten yellow baby chicks. Chloe said, "I love chickens! I like this puzzle!"
Livvy started chewing on one of the puzzle pieces. Chloe shouted, "Ew! Yuck! Livvy, that's gross! Don't eat the puzzle!" Grammy Tammy said, "That's ok! I will wipe it off!"

A few minutes later, Chloe asked Grammy Tammy, "Can I go outside and play?" "Sure!", said Grammy Tammy, "But stay inside the fence! And put on some play clothes." Chloe said, "I will!". She quickly changed clothes and then ran outside to do cartwheels in the grass.
She turned and flipped until she got so dizzy she fell to the ground. She was tired! "I think it's time for me to go visit the chickens.", she said to herself. "I know they miss me!" She opened the gate and headed for the chicken house out behind the barn.

When she was younger, she called chickens "chichens". She loved chichens; big chichens and little chichens, skinny chichens and fat chichens, white chichens, black chichens, brown chichens, red chichens, and yellow chichens. Any color was her favorite. She loved them all.
Grammy Tammy looked out the window to see if Chloe was still playing in the yard. "Hm! Where is Chloe?", she wondered.

Grammy Tammy's cell phone rang. She answered the phone and said, "Hello!"
"Hi Tammy!", said the voice on the phone. "This is your neighbor, Sally. Have you seen my church chickens?" Grammy Tammy said, "No, I haven't seen any chickens! What do you mean, church chickens?"
Sally answered, "I sell their eggs, and then I give the money to the church so they can help poor people."

Grammy Tammy said, "That's a very nice thing to do, Sally. I will keep an eye out for your chickens, but right now I need to go look for Chloe. She was playing in the yard, but now she is gone, and I need go to find her!" Sally said, "Oh goodness! I will come right over, and we will look for Chloe and my chickens!"
Grammy Tammy said, "Livvy and I will meet you outside."

"Come on Livvy!", Grammy Tammy said, "Let's go look for Chloe. You can ride in the wagon."
"Yay!" said Livvy. Yay is another one of her favorite words.
Sally met them outside, and they started yelling for Chloe and the church chickens.

"Chloe! Chloe! Chlo-Chlo! Where are you?" shouted Grammy Tammy.
Sally yelled, "Here chick! chick! chickens!" She sounded like a chicken when she yelled.
Livvy joined in, "Chlo-Chlo! Chichens!"
They continued yelling as they walked out behind the barn.

"Listen!", said Sally. There were noises coming from behind the chicken house. The roosters were crowing in high pitched voices, "Dr Pepper! Dr Pepper!" and the hens were clucking and cackling! When they turned the corner around the chicken house, there was Chloe with a long line of chickens.
