Dedicated to the real ones

Once upon a time there was a little town called Duckstown. The city was divided between white feathered ducks and gray feathered ducks.
Everyone looked up to the group of white ducks because they were white, rich and clean. But one day, there was another duck, whose name was Xavier, that just moved into the neighborhood. It was his first day there.
(P.s Xavier was a gray duck.)

What he didn't expect was that the town he just moved into was divided. Nevertheless, Xavier and his mother decided that they would take a walk around town and greet the new neighbors. When they stopped at the gray ducks homes, everyone was friendly. But, when they went to the white ducks house they looked at them funny, laughed and before slamming the door, said "You don't belong in this part of town!". Xavier and his mother didn't understand why they were being treated this way. But they didn't think much of it and kept going with their day.

LEAVE

The next day was Xavier's first day of school. At first, he was really excited, because he wanted to meet new people and make new friends. So Xavier was glad when he got on his bus and saw that there were ducks everywhere. But they were separated into 2 groups , the white feathered ducks sat in the front and the gray feathered ducks sat in the back. So Xavier decided he wanted to sit in the front by the bus driver because he was the new kid, and he didn't know anyone. When he sat down he was looked at funny and the white ducks moved away from him. He didn't really understand it. But, one let him sit next to him, but Xavier was still confused about the other ducks behaviors.

Later when school was close to being over, he heard the white ducks talking about him, saying he was stupid and he wasn't ever going to be anything in life because of the color of his feathers. He didn't get what he did to them to make them so mean to him. But he took what they said to heart and all he could do was cry.

When he got home he told his mom what happened as he cried in her arms. She told him to just relax and understand when people say things like that you have to just prove them wrong. His mom made him promise that he was going to prove them wrong and he did. So Xavier kept what his mom said and his promise to her, in the back of his head for the rest of his days.
