Once upon a time, in a backyard garden, lived a special little turtle named Timmy.

Timmy came off as incredibly shy and didn't come out of his shell too often.

He would sit from afar and watch the other garden animals play, but would never join them.

This was because Timmy was more than shy. Timmy was living with Avoidant Personality Disorder.

This disorder made Timmy believe nobody would like him or accept him as he was.

Timmy was scared.

“What if they don’t like me?” He would say to himself. “Im not as fun as Sam the Squirrel or Barry the Bird.”

Timmy's mother knew NONE of this was true, however.
