We took mom’s car to Evertt Railroad last summer. Mom, Grandma, Dad, and me went to the steam locomotive. It was like watching the Polar Express. It was nice. “This is awesome, "I said. The locomotive blew out steam. “It was a lovely day, "said Grandma. The ride was about 5 hours. “I’m glad to be on the train, "I said. “The Evertt Railroad was awesome sauce,” said Mom.  

   The steam locomotive was pulling 4 passenger cars. The steam locomotive is powered by coal and water. The steam locomotive is a 4-6-2. The Evertt Railroad also has a diesel locomotive. 

  “The diesel locomotive runs on diesel fuel, "said dad. “The driver shovels coal in the firebox, the fire heats water into steam.    

While dad was buying the tickets, me, mom, and Grandma waited for the train. Suddenly the train appeared backwards! Before we boarded the train there were squeaky wheels that were as loud the fire alarm. These loud sounds made me feel nervous.    

Once they oiled the wheels, the conductor called out “All aboard!” My family and I got on the locomotive and our journey began. I enjoy it.  

  I was nervous when the wheels squealed because I don’t like loud noises. I learned that loud noises are scary but just stay calm.
