Solar Flare and his wife, Purple Spider are super heroes. Purple Spider is returning to work after taking a few months off after having twins. Today is the first day that the twins will spend apart from their Mom. Purple Spider has fought all kinds of monsters, crooks, and super villains, but one of her biggest challenges. "Okay kids, you be good for Miss Sweet. Mommy and Daddy have to go to "work" but we will back later this afternoon to pick you up" Solar Flare said as he kissed his kids goodbye.

WONDER KIDS DAY CARE

"Do you think the kids will be okay at the daycare? Miss Sweet seemed very nice but it was so hard to leave my babies behind." "Don't worry dear. The kids are going to be just fine. It's a nice, safe, quiet place in a good neighborhood. Getting back to fighting crime will be good for you. You've been cooped up in the house for too long. Now stop worrying and let's get back to catching bad guys!"

"Great work guys! Looks like you haven't lost a step Purple Spider." "Thanks Officer Dorgan. Oh, and thank your wife for that lovely fruit basket she sent us." "Well we're off to catch more baddies." "Um...." "Something wrong Officer Dorgan?" "There are actually four more of these punks at large. You only caught two. There were six bank robbers in total." "Don't worry Officer Dorgan, we'll catch the rest of 'em. They can't be too far away" Solar Flare proclaimed.

"Okay everybody, it's Storytime! Today I'm going to tell you all about 'Tickles the Monkey'. Hmm, I wonder what all that noise is outside? Stay seated children, Miss Sweet is going to go see who's making that awful racket." Miss Sweet put the book down on the desk and went outside and walked around the daycare. Guess I was just hearing things" Miss Sweet uttered to herself. "Shh! Don't make a peep lady" a gravely voice called out from the bushes.

"We're going to hide out here at your little daycare until things blow over" the Boss said to Miss Sweet. "The cops will never think to look for us at a daycare. Don't try anything funny and we'll be gone before you know it. Act natural and let's all go inside. I'm sure my boys here could really use a snack and a nap." "But what about the children?" "Keep those brats away from us. We don't like kids and they don't like us."

The Intrepid Arrow

"We have searched this entire area and still haven't found the robbers. Where could they possibly be?" Purple Spider wondered. "Police are patrolling the neighborhood on foot. Officer Dorgan said that the bad guys didn't have a getaway vehicle. I'm thinking that they're hiding out somewhere like an abandoned building, a house, or.....oh dear, a school!" Solar Flare gasped. "They wouldn't hide out at our babies' daycare would they?" "No. The daycare is too small for such a rough and tumble band of thieves."

"We have some surprise guests boys and girls. Can you say 'hello' to, uh, what are your names anyways?" "We're The Ghost Brotherhood." "How, uh, lovely. This is The Ghost Brotherhood. Hope you enjoy your time at Wonder Kids Daycare. Now let's return to our story about 'Tickles the Monkey' shall we?" Miss Sweet nervously announced. "Hmm, we seem to be missing a pair of children. Has anyone seen where the twins went?" "Did you hear that Boss?" "Yeah. Let's split up and find those anklebiters."

The robbers split up into teams of two. The first pair were easily able to locate Baby Mabel (also known as The Electric Starling). "Here girl!" one of the robbers started to whisper before making kissy sounds as if he were calling an animal. "Dude, it's a baby, not the family dog." As the pair began to get closer to Mabel she looked as through she was on the verge of tears. "Aw jeez, I think she's gonna cry." "Poor baby" the other thug joked. And cry she did. Her cry was so powerful that it knocked the robbers unconscious.
