FIRE SURVIVOR

I am a survivor because I survived a fire in Nepal. One day a spark from a electrical wire started the thatched roof of our house on fire. Next, the bamboo walls started burning. My family ran from the house. My neighbor and firefighters came and threw water and banana trees on the burning house. They got water from well and a natural pond. But still, most of the houses got burnt. My family and neighbor helped to build a new house. It took almost three weeks. In the end, my new house was better than first one.


Surviving the Ebola Crisis

I am a survivor because I survived Ebola Crisis in Liberia in the year 2014. It all started when my aunty told us that she wasn’t feeling good, so my mom went to buy medicine for her at the pharmacy. When we noticed my aunts sickness, we started protecting ourselves from getting the sickness. A week later she started complaining again. This time she complained about her head and her skin was very hot, and she started vomiting. So we took her to the hospital, and the doctors put an oxygen mask and protective clothes on her. Finally, the next morning she ask us to get her children. After we got her children, the doctors told us to put on safety clothes before we can enter the room that she was in. She talked to them and her children left her to rest for a while. Then, a minute later she died with tears coming out of her eyes.
Survived Living in Liberia

I am a survivor because I survived living in Liberia and was attending school there. First of all, in Liberia I lived in a home where there was not enough money to buy food. Some days we would go without eating. We like to call that fasting. Secondly, there was not enough money to send your child to school, so the kids would stay home to help their parents at the market. But luckily for me, my mom would send money to my grandma, so I could have the opportunity to attend school. I used to live with my grandma in Liberia. I was three years old when my mom left and came to the USA to find a better future for us.
In school students would get hit on when they got a question wrong in class. Back then, in school we would get into a lot of fights. But finally, I came to the US and my life has changed since then. I can now go to school, and have no worries about what I am going to eat when I get home.
Car Accident

I am a survivor because I survived a car accident in Iraq. I was 10 years old. First of all, I was walking with my friends to the school and we saw a car. After that, It was coming straight to us. We were so nervous, and we didn't know what to do. None of my friends or I got hurt, but the driver did. Then we started running and the the driver couldn't stop because he was driving really fast. The car crashed and the person got hurt. I didn't know how bad he got hurt because we were almost late for school.
Surviving Earthquake in Nepal

I am a survivor because I survived the earthquake in Nepal. It was almost midnight when it started. My sister and I were about to sleep and my parents and brother too. Then suddenly, the bed and floor started to shake. We didn't know what to do. Then the tree fell on our house. I was so worried that I would never get to see my cousins that were in America. Nobody was hurt and my dad and mom were there too. I was crying because I was so scared. Meanwhile, the earthquake stopped. I was so happy that I will get to see my cousins that were in America. A tree had fallen on our house, so my uncle removed it. Then, the next day we moved to our uncle’s house.
Car Accident

I am a survivor because I survived a dangerous car accident when I was eight years old in Afghanistan. It was on EID day. I was playing in the street with my friends. It was a game that no one should touch you and you have to run. I wore my new clothes and new shoes. Suddenly, I ran from one side of the street to the other side. I fell in the street. A car came and went over my feet. The driver lived in our town and knew my home. He thought it was not really serious, and he did not take me to hospital, but I was injured. The driver took me home. I was crying and I was scared. My father was not at home, but my uncle was. My uncle took me to hospital. The
doctor said the accident broke your feet, and it will take time to heal. They bandaged every time
when I visited the doctor. I had to visit the doctor every week for two or three months. After six months, I got better. I was able to walk and do activities.
Car Accident

I am a survivor because I survived a serious car accident on Interstate 94. One day, we were on our way home from St Cloud when a car hit us from behind. Our car spun and rolled over three times. I was thrown from the car and I hit my head very hard on the ground. Later, the emergency services came and they looked for me for over 30 minutes. I fell in a place which had lots grass and it was really hard to find me. Then, they took me to the hospital. I was in the hospital for three days. W

While I was there, they did lots of medical tests including x-rays, cat-scans,
and more. After all, I was very happy to get out of the hospital and get back to my school and make my dreams come true. My dreams are to graduate and go to college.
Surviving Swallowing a Marble

I am a survivor because when I was eight I swallowed a marble . First, when I was eight I accidentally swallowed a marble. Second, I felt like l was dying, so I drank a lot of water in order to survive. Next , my mom noticed when I was choking and she gave me water to drink. Then, I had to swallow the marble because I could not spit it out. I had to swallow it in order to survive. In conclusion, after that I learned not to put marble.
Moving to the New Place

I am a survivor because I survived moving to a new country. I feel sad because my dad did not come with us, so I always miss my dad. First of all, I lived in a refugee camp in Nepal called Camp Pathri. My grandpa and grandma were sick. Next, we went to Kathmandu to a transit camp and stayed they for 10 days. I felt scared flying in a plane. Then, from Kathmandu, we flew to Qatar and to New York. We flew to Chicago. From Chicago we came to Fargo on January 31 2017. Finally, we safely came to America.
My Bad Days

I am a survivor because I survived an illness. When I was 14 years old, one day I suddenly became sick, and it was so serious that I almost died. My face, skin and hands were yellow. Later, I came to know that I have a jaundice. So my dad brought some homeopathic medicine from someone and gave it to me. I took the medicine for almost two months regularly. I did not do any work because the school didn’t give me any assignments. I was almost six months in bed, and I missed my school for one year. It was so bad for me. After that, slowly I got well, and I was able to go
