I dedicate this book to all of those poor bears with no honey. Keep trying!

Gilbert was a happy bear that loved to wonder the woods. He also was very curious and, like most bears, had a sweet tooth. Gilbert was fond of honey, but didn't know where to get any. He set out on his daily walk, but this time he was looking for the golden syrup. Hours past but he had no luck in finding honey.

Finally! Gilbert found a beehive buzzing with bees. He tried to reach the hive, but he was just too small. He let out a disappointed sigh and sat down. Then Gilbert spotted a log laying in the grass beneath the high branch.

How will I ever reach that high?

Gilbert had the idea to use the log as a stool. He rolled the log under the hive and stood as tall as he could, hoping to reach the honey. Again, Gilbert was too small. With nothing else to stand on, it seemed that Gilbert would go without honey.

Almost there...

But Gilbert was not ready to go home empty handed. He picked up the log and threw it at the hive. The hive fell to the ground, cracked open, and he could see honey drizzling out. Unfortunately, a swarm of bees also came out of the hive. Gilbert was chased out of the woods by the angry bees and went home. Poor Gilbert.
