Sally Sue started a new school today and doesn't have any friends to play with.

This is a big change for her, and change can be really scary!

Sally Sue is missing her old friends and is worried that she won't find any new friends at her new school.

She is nervous and scared to talk to the other kids and she begins to cry and hides where nobody can see her.

Sally Sue starts to think about what she can do that will help her make some friends.

"I've got it!" she thinks to herself. "I will do some drawing, I'm good at drawing, and maybe other kids like to draw and will want to be my friend!"

I have a good idea!

Sally Sue gets out her art supplies and starts to draw.

The next thing she knows, a boy stops to look at her drawing.

"I really like your drawing," says Dave.

Even though Sally Sue was still feeling a little shy, she was so happy someone was talking to her and said, "Thank you. Would you like me to draw one for you?"

"Yes please!" said Dave.

Sally Sue draws Dave a picture of a flower and hands it to him. "Wow Sally Sue, you're really good!"

"Thank you" she says.

"Would you like to play handball with me and my friends?" asked Dave.
