today is Leo's first day at his new school! 

He is very nervous and hopes to make new friends today.

'if i just pretend to like what everyone else likes, they'll surely want to be my friend!' Leo thinks to himself.

during lunch time, Leo see's people playing football.

Leo doesn't know much about football but will pretend he does to make friends.

'I love football, can i join?' Leo asks.

One of the children replies 'really? who's your favourite football team?'

Leo doesn't know any football team so he just says 'uhh... the red one?'. the other children look at him confused and Leo feels his cheeks heat up and leaves in embarrassment.

Leo decides to try his luck with someone else and comes across a boy reading a book.

Leo doesnt like reading books but will pretend he does to make friends.

'are you reading? i love books' Leo says. The boy looks at leo and asks 'whats your favourite book?'.

Leo says the first thing that comes to mind 'uhhh... toy story?'.

the boy looks at Leo confused 'isn't that a movie?'. 

Leo, once again feels his cheeks heat up and runs indoors embarrassed.

Leo makes his way inside the classroom, feeling disappointed that he did not make any new friends on his first day. 'I don't understand,' Leo says. 'I pretended to like everything that the other kids liked, but I still couldn't relate to them and become friends,' Leo sighs in frustration.
