Our House

Hi, I am the father of our poor family. Our families apartment is small. It is a small dark crowed apartment. Because we live in apartment we live with people. We all have one or two rooms, it depends on how many people you have in your family.

Hi, I am the mother of this family. We live in a small apartment. We don´t have much food, and me and my husband work really hard to provide for this family. We are both farmers. We farm for rich people.

Food

We do not eat fancy decorated food like the rich. We eat chunks of fish. For dessert we eat asparagus. We cook our fish with our small portable grills. Sometimes we go to this fast food restaurant called thermopolia. Many go there because it is fast and convenient. Because our house is made with wood it once caught on fire. It started on fire because one of the small portable grills got in contact with one of the walls and nearly wiped out my whole city!

Recreation

While are were going on, the rich sit close to the track, so they could see the games going on. The rich also get soft and fluffy cushions. But, we have to sit at the top of the bleachers on wood. Because we are poor, we get the bad seats. We sit with other men and woman, many people meet their husbands or wives there.

Religion

We have one thing in common with the rich, our religion. We all work hard to please the gods that we believe in. For example, we sacrifice our animals in our fire, and give gifts to the gods. Everyone has alters in their house. We use them to pray, and give thanks to our god.
