The earliest anime created film dated back in the 20th century, 1917. 10 years later, the first anime, coloured film was released. In 1963 an anime series called Astro Boy, was made by a production called Mushi productions.
In the Beginning (Hajime ni)
Astro Boy was considered as the most popular anime series. Astro Boy, the Japanese name which is its original name is Tetswan Atom. The popularity of Anime has just begun! Watashi wa Anime ga suki desu.

The process of making Anime, is pretty straight forward. First you have to draw\sketch the anime characters. These sketches are then put together in order, which creates to animations we see on television. Each person that takes part of creating Anime has different roles.

Due to Anime's popularity in Japan, Japan organises annual Anime conventions. There they have photo booths, events etc that are all Anime related. Are you an Anime fan or do you know anyone who is? If so these conventions would be perfect for any Anime lover out there!
Animators on YouTube
You will find that there are people who make animations on Youtube that are Anime related. Not only will you find Anime on television, but also on Youtube. Making these animations, are basically the same process you do to make Anime TV series, but less complex.
Anime Now VS Then
One thing that has changed dramatically is that now technology has made it possible to make coloured Anime films. Also the images\animations have become more clear and not as blurry.
