There once was a duck named Fredrick. He loved everything and everyone. He lived by a small pond. He was happy and loved his home so much, he never wanted to leave.

One day Fredrick was outside enjoying the fresh air when his parents came out and said "Fredrick we need to talk to you. Will you come here for a minute?"
"Ok?!" said Fredrick and went to see what his parents wanted to talk about.

"Fredrick... we have to move." his mom said.
"WHAT?!?! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" he said as tears fell down his face.

A couple of weeks later they were packed and ready to go. Fredrick was sad and angry. He didn't want to leave. He looked at his parents with puppy dog eyes and begged them to change their minds, but they left anyway.

They arrived at a beautiful lake, but Fredrick was to busy frowning to see the beauty.
"Isn't it wonderful!?" his parents asked.
"Ya, sure, for a mucky, icky, swamp." he responded.
His parents frowned at each other. Then began to get situated.

The next day Fredrick woke up feeling even more frustrated than the day before. He decided to take a walk around. While he was walking he bumped into an otter.
"Hello! You must be new to the lake, my name is Oprah Otter, but you can call me Mrs. Otter." She said with a smile on her face.
"Did I say you could talk to me?!" he yelled at her.
"No. I'm sorry I was just trying to be friendly. I'll leave you alone." She said and swam away in tears.
