Arnold always admired how beautiful the Earth was. Arnold wondered "What natural resources do I use daily?" and "What makes them natural resources?"

What are natural resources?

To answer this question Arnold took a minute to remember what natural resources are. Natural resources are things that are found in nature that can be used by people. Some of Earths natural resources are oil, fossil fuel, water, air, plants and minerals.
Natural resources can be renewable or non-renewable. For example, a non-renewable resource is oil because once you use it, nature cannot replace it. An example of a renewable resource is water because it can be produced again by nature.

Arnold pictured his classroom. He thought "What useful things from natural resources do I use in my classroom daily?" and "How do I know they come from natural resources?"
Arnold thought "I write with a pencil. What are some of the things that make a pencil a natural resource?" First, Arnold had to think of what pencils are made out of. "Pencils are made out of wood and the wood comes from Trees!" Arnold said. Pencils come from trees and trees come from nature which means pencils are useful products from a natural resource.

There are many useful products made from natural resources around us. For example, some of the useful products that come from trees are paper, furniture, and rubber.

To determine what products come from a natural resource, you must first find out what the product is made out of. If the product is made from a natural resource, than it is a useful product made from a natural resource.

Remember that not all natural resources are renewable. To keep our natural resources we must find ways to save the resources on our Earth. We can do this by recycling.
