My favorite food are the enchiladas that my mom makes almost every weekend. I eat 3 to 4 plates of it and still want more. It is really that good! Sometimes, I help her make it and she lets me do all of the work and watches me do it and says, "That's not the right ingredients." Then she helps me get it right . After that, we all eat it and my whole family loves it.

1 pkg flour tortillas 1 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese

One day, I was cooking green beans. I put them in the pot and waited. After a little bit, I heard something in the cabinet. I went and looked in the cabinet and saw a mouse! I tried to hit the mouse but missed and knocked the brown sugar right into the pot of green beans. My dad came into the kitchen and asked, "What did you do?" so I told him. He said, "There's a solution." We cooked bacon and put them in with the green beans; it tasted so good!

One day I went to Mamaw’s house and she showed me something that looked divine. In other words, PUMPKIN PIE!!! It’s the best homemade food that I have ever tasted.I still love it to this day. Jett and I were at my house and Jett told me he was hungry. I asked him if he wanted Ramen Noodles and he said, "Sure." So, I made them. One day, I wanted to make cookies. I got a pan and started to put the cookie dough on the pan. I put it in the oven and when it was done, I took the pan out. All the cookies were black and they were stuck on the pan. It took me thirty minutes to get the cookies off the pan. Turns out I left it in the oven for 15 minutes too long!

1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 1tsp salt
1/2 cup butter (melted) 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour 1 tsp baking soda 4 oz milk chocolate chunks

Mix all the ingredients with a spatula. Cover with plastic wrap and chill. Once chilled, scoop out dough with an ice cream scoop onto a pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

There was a time that I was asked by my dad to help him make hamburger patties. He told me to take little chunks of the meat and roll them into a ball, flatten them out, but to still keep them thick. I decided to help so I washed my hands and got to work. While I was flattening the hamburger meat, my dad was heating up a pot half way full of rice. I had gotten about three patties flattened before I had an incident. While I was doing the fourth patty, it slipped out of my hands and fell onto the floor. I started to laugh really hard and fell to the floor. My dad stopped cooking and stared at me like I was crazy. It took him a second to realize why I was laughing, but once he saw the patty on the floor, he started to laugh as hard as me. My siblings in the living room also started to laugh at what I had done. They still tease me about it.
Hamburgers
Ingredients:
3lbs ground hamburger meat
salt and pepper
Hamburger Buns & condiments
Directions:
Put the ground beef in a mixing bowl and sprinkle the salt and pepper over the meat. Fold the meat over a few times to mix it up but don't over handle the meat. Form the hamburger meat into patties using a tray. This makes it easier to shape them without over handling the meat or warming it up. A cookie sheet lined with parchment paper works great. On the tray, divide the meat into 6 equal parts. Gently form each portion into a patty with a shallow depression in the middle. You want the outer part of the patty to be slightly taller than the inside. This keeps the patty from shrinking too much and from puffing up in the center during grilling. Heat a gas or charcoal grill to 450 to 500°F, or hot enough that you can only hold your hand above the grill grates for about 1 second. Grill the burgers until they are as done as you like them. Once done, dress your hamburger the way you like it.

I have a good memory of my family cooking and I love food. My favorite food is my mom's strawberry cake. She made it before and i ate ¼ of the cake by myself! She said she would make me another one, but she hasn't yet. I think that the cake that she made was the best one so far and she has made many good cakes.

Strawberry Cake
Ingredients:
1 package Duncan Hilles moist Deluxe strawberry supreme cake mix
2/3 cup strawberry jam, divided
2 1/2 cup fresh blueberry jam rinsed drained and divided
1 (8 ounce) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Fresh strawberry sliced for the garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350* Spray light grease on floured pan size 9-12in. Prepare, bake, and cook cake following package directions for recipe. Place one cake layer on serving plate. Spread with 1/3 cup jam. Spread half the whipped topping to within 1/2 in of cake edge. Place second layer on top. Repeat with remaining 1/3 cup jam, 1 cup blueberries, and remaining whipped topping. Garnish with strawberries and refrigerate until ready to eat.

When I was about four, my cousin, Kennedy, and I were staying at my MiMi’s house for a weekend. We were making pillow forts and watching movies when my MiMi said “Come to the kitchen. I made you a surprise!” We smelled something savory and good but didn’t think much of it, for MiMi was always cooking mouth watering meals and snacks. When we came into the kitchen, we were filled with joy as we saw my MiMi pulling pies out of the oven. Now you're probably thinking “Oh, it's probably just a regular pie”, but no these were not regular pies. These were my MiMi’s famous Chocolate and apple fried pies! She always made them at family reunions and some people would get them before the actual meal. They were always delicious every time she made them.
Chocolate Fried Pies
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of cocoa
3 tablespoons of sugar
a dash of salt
a can of biscuit (depending on how many you make)
a slice of butter (depending on how any you make)
Directions:
Mix up a cocoa and sugar mixture. The ratio is 1 tablespoon of cocoa, 3 tablespoons of sugar and a dash of salt. Roll out a canned biscuit into a circle as thin as you can get it. Place a slice of butter in the center and add about a teaspoon of the cocoa mixture on top of the butter. Fold the biscuit into a half moon and seal the edges with a fork. Fry in butter, turning to brown each side.
