Character:
Frodo

Physical survival:
in the beginning of the movie, frodo wakes up from a nap that he had taken due to his exhaustion, he woke up to a breakfast due to his need to eat. it impacts his behaviour by making him feel awake and energized. this satisfaction motivates him towards the next one because now he can achieve for goals higher than just survival because he is able to think of other needs. Frodo is changing because he is realising where he needs to go next. because this level is met, he is able to see that Sam is not the enemy.
Proof

Safety and security need Frodo's safety and security need is met by the ring that he carries with him. the ring means his need is met because any time that Frodo thinks he might be in danger he uses the ring to make sure that he feels safe and that his need for safety is met. A good example of this is at Mount Doom where he realizes that the ring is his, and in fear of having it taken, Frodo puts the ring on and turns invisible to satisfy his need to feel safe and secure.

Love and belonging:
Frodo's need for love and belonging is met through sam, though it does take him awhile to realize, Frodo does eventually realize that Sam is his friend and has always been trying to help him, when Frodo realizes this his need for love and belonging is met because he finds a very strong sense of friendship with Sam.

Respect and esteem:
Frodo satisfies his need for Respect and esteem when at Mount Doom, he feels the need to stand up for what he knows as rightfully his, and is willing to fight to keep what is his. this satisfies his need for respect and esteem because he respects himself enough to keep whats his and has the esteem to go get it. This satisfaction makes him able to see the next step because at the end he realizes that he respects and trusts himself enough to realize he does not need the ring and is on the path towards self actualization.
