The king of England wanted everyone to have the same religion.

So the pilgrims left England on the Mayflower. There were about 102 pilgrims on the ship. There was no bathroom on the ship.

The pilgrims were on the ship for about 9 months and 5 weeks. The food was so gross. There were worms in the bread.

One day a pilgrim saw land. They were so excited.Then they wondered if it was safe.

They sent a crew to look. The crew found Indians but the Indians were scared of the crew. It was also winter so a lot of pilgrims were dying.

It took 5 weeks to build one house. Now only half of the pilgrims were left because the died from the cold and hunger.
