Toddler
(1 year to 3 years)

Our day starts with waking up and eating our breakfast. Then we brush our teeth with mommy or daddy's help.
After brushing our teeth we have to get ready for the day! We change into our play clothes and brush our hair.

Now that we are ready for the day we get to play! We play with big blocks, toy cars, and other fun toys.
We also get to play with toys that look like food! We pretend to eat the food and cook the food for others.
Pretend play is one cognitive developmental milestone that is age appropriate of toddlers.

Toddlers like to play with different sized blocks; stacking them and watching them fall only to figure out what blocks can be used so they don't fall over.
Understanding that things are different shapes and sizes and problem solving by trial and error are two other cognitive developmental milestones for toddlers.
