There once was a dog named Bernadette,

And boy was she a silly pet.

She loved to roam free without her leash.

But her most favorite thing of all was to play with her best friends Maeve and Elise.

One day Bernadette saw a cat,

She thought it might be something fun to jump at.

She chased after her,

Causing quite a stir.

Maeve and Elise followed them yelling,

"Oh Bernadette you silly pet!"

They ran all around town until they started to frown.

The girls tried and tried but they couldn't keep up.

They knew in their hearts they couldn't give up.

Before they knew it Bernadette was out of sight.

Finding her would require a lot of might.
