Once upon a time

there was a little girl named Mira

who loved to sing.

If you were near her,

you could almost always hear her humming a melody

or singing a song.

The Old Piano

A few years went by and one day Mira thought to herself,

"I would love to learn an instrument...there's an old piano at my house, maybe I could get piano lessons!"

But Mira's family didn't have enough money for piano lessons, so Mira just happily played around on her own on the old piano.

A few more years went by, and Mira went to college. In college, she joined a band and continued in her joy and love of singing.

One day Mira asked her friend Ray, who played guitar, if he would teach her how to play.

"Sure, it's pretty easy, let's start with learning some chords!" Ray said.

Mira learned lots of guitar chords and worked on her strumming.

She practiced singing & playing guitar at the same time.

She loved it!

One day, Mira's good friend Jill, who was like a big sister,

came to Mira and said,

"I've seen how hard you are practicing, and I'm so proud of you. You are doing so great! I really believe in you."

"REALLY?" asked Mira.

"Yes," replied Jill. "Also, I know you don't have a guitar of your own, and have to keep borrowing one. So, I am going to give my guitar to you, because I believe in you."

Mira was stunned and amazed, and so very thankful to her friend Jill. She would never forget the kindness of her friend. To know that someone believed in her so much that they would give her their own guitar was an incredible feeling.

"Thank you so much, Jill! Thank you for believing in me. I hope one day I can help someone the way that you helped me!" exclaimed Mira, as she gave Jill a big hug.

Jill smiled, and gave Mira a big hug back.

Mira loved playing her own guitar & singing. She played in a band, and often played at home and with friends.
