Here we can see the basic parts of a flowering plant! You probably already know most of these parts, so let's take a closer look at the flower...

Here we can see the different parts of the flower. We can take a closer look at each part.
The petals are usually large and colorful to attract bugs and other animals!
The stamen contains pollen!
The stigma receives pollen from another flower!
The "eggs" are actually the seeds of the plant!
The sepal protects the flower when it is closed!

Now, let's look at the life of a flower! It all begins with pollination. Pollination happens when the pollen from one flower's stamen enters the stigma of another flower!






Pollen can move from flower to flower by the wind or by animals. Sometimes, flowers even pollinate themselves!












When the pollen hits the stigma of the other flower, the eggs are fertilized and become seeds!
