

Jesse Owens was born in 1913.
he was a sprinter, known for his participation in the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, where he won four gold medals and was the star of the Games.




Owens won four gold medals at the Berlin Olympics: on August 3 he won the 100 meters, on August 4 the long jump, on August 5 the 200 meters and on August 9 the relay






Owens' conquest of the gold medal in the long jump at the Olympic Games in Berlin provided the pretext for the press all over the world to create a case of racial discrimination of which the legendary athlete would have been a victim.






Owens died of lung cancer at the age of 66 in Tucson, Arizona. He is buried in Chicago's Oak Woods Cemetery.
