It was Errol Barrow Day, a public bank holiday. My family decided that we were going to spend the day at the beach. It was a warm, sunny day and this was the perfect time for a family picnic.

Kathy, Peter and I quickly got dressed in to our beach wear and packed our toys while mummy and daddy prepared the food for us to take to the beach.

They prepared sandwiches, drink, chicken, cookies and lots of snacks and fruits. When they were finished, we packed our picnic basket and we were off to the beach! Today was going to be great!

Finally! We have arrived! There were many people at the beach. Some were playing football.

Some were having fun running and playing with their dogs.

Kathy, Peter and I decided to go and build a sand castle while mummy read her book.

Daddy relaxed on the sand while having a drink and eating a sandwich.

We soon saw a woman selling ice cream cones and mummy bought one for each of us.
