Climate Change and Environmental Challenges
Climate Change and Environmental Challenges

Climate change results in conditions that are too hot, too dry and too wet, causing a rise in sea levels and an increase in the number of extreme events, such as storms, floods, droughts or landslides. The negative effects
of climate change include impacts on infrastructure and economy quality of life, health , social stability and peace .
“Climate change is destroying our path to sustainability.
Ours is a world of looming challenges and increasingly limited
resources. Sustainable development offers the best chance to adjust our course.”
Ban Ki-moon
This project will give a chance to students ,who are going to be interested in Climate Change and Environmental Challenges.
We will have our approximate calendar of activities.Every month will have its own activities. All students will be involved in the project.
1-Initially, the project idea will be published among the students of the school to include students who love and care for them
2-After selecting the team, students and educated teachers will be introduced to a special page
3-Prepare a video or brochure about the area they live in or prepare a map to link the schools together
Determining environmental problems in their places of residence
4-Using the Internet to search for causes of environmental problems and their effects on nature
5-Preparing environmental plays and presenting them in front of the school
6-Carrying out cleaning campaigns in the surrounding area
7-Prepare the final product

Climate Change

CLIMATE AS A GLOBAL PROBLEM
Among global environmental problems, climate change is the first place in the world community. Climate change in the history of mankind is one of the most important and at the same time the most natural characteristic of the natural environment. Over 200 million years, the Earth’s climate has continuously changed, but it never happened as fast as it is now. Over the past century, the climate on the earth has become warmer by 0.5 ° C - a fact unprecedented in the geological history of our planet. A sharp change in climate in the boreal regions is affected by a decrease in the number of frosty winters. Over the past 25 years, the average temperature of the surface air layer has increased by 0.7 0C. In the equatorial zone, it has not changed, but the closer to the poles, the warmer is noticeable. The global climate is a complex system where the gradual accumulation of quantitative changes can lead to an unexpected qualitative leap with unpredictable consequences.
What is Climate Change?Climate change refers to significant, long-term changes in the global climate.
The global climate is the connected system of sun, earth and oceans, wind, rain and snow, forests, deserts and savannas, and everything people do, too. The climate of a place, say New York, can be described as its rainfall, changing temperatures during the year and so on.
But the global climate is more than the “average” of the climates of specific places.
(Source: US Environmental Protection Agency)A description of the global climate includes how, for example, the rising temperature of the Pacific feeds typhoons which blow harder, drop more rain and cause more damage, but also shifts global ocean currents that melt Antarctica ice which slowly makes sea level rise until New York will be under water.
It is this systemic connectedness that makes global climate change so important and so complicated.
Climate change will affect everyone’s health. Whether you live in a big city, a coastal town, a village or on a small island, climate change threatens your health and well-being. Global warming, induced by climate change, dramatically disrupts some of life’s essential requirements for health: water, air and food. 2. In fact, it is already affecting public health today. Already, climate change is estimated to cause 400,000 deaths every year. Climate change affects health in many ways, threatening food and water supplies, exacerbating extremes of temperature, and changing the spread of infectious diseases. If it continues at its current pace, the impacts will worsen, with rising sea levels and extreme weather leading to the loss of homes and livelihoods, mass migration, and civil conflict. These effects are unevenly distributed, with the worst of the impacts felt by those who have done the least to cause climate change: low-income countries and poor and marginalised populations globally.
Art trash
A specific subgenre of found objects is known as trash art or junk art. These works primarily comprise components that have been discarded. Often, they come quite literally from the trash. Glass bottles, plastic bags and other waste that would end up filling landfills or floating in the sea have, in the hands of some artists, become a form of sustainable art that highlights the degradation of the planet and surprises with its originality. The possibilities stretch as far as the imagination.

The Greenhouse Effect

The greenhouse effect is the result of the worldwide pollution problem, temperature fluctuation of our planet, ozone hole and possible change in Earth’s climate. Loss of forests, damage to water bodies (lakes and ponds) and their ecosystems by acid rain, over-exploitation of natural resources, massive extinction of species due to habitat destruction and other well-known causes worldwide are connected with environmental issues globally.
