Daddy said we're going on a trip today. He said we have to take a plane far away. He said we will meet some of our family there.
I can't wait!

Mommy made sure I was able to sit near the window since I am the oldest. My brother gets to sit right next to me because he's my best friend. We do everything together.

We boarded the coolest plane ever. It even had the Ghanaian flag on it! Do you know what the colors of the Ghanaian flag mean?
Let me teach you.
The Ghanaian flag is red, gold, green, and black. Are you ready to learn what the colors mean? Here we go.
Ghana was not always an independent country. The color RED in the flag stands for the struggle of its people to become free. Ghana gained independence from the United Kingdom on March 6th of 1957.

Ghana is rich in many minerals such as gold, diamonds, silver, and more. That is what the color GOLD stands for in the flag.

Ghana is known to have many natural resources and crops. The color GREEN in the flag represents all of the forests within the country. Ghana is fighting today to protect any that are remaining.

The BLACK star in Ghana's flag is a symbol of the country's emancipation. It is a symbol of the country's heritage, pride, and freedom. Mommy says BLACK is a wonderful color for protection.

We land in Accra the next morning. Mommy said we were on the plane for eleven whole hours. We flew aaaall the way from New York City to the Accra airport.
