Chapter 1: Always a fun day!

This is a story about how you can always find a way to make things fun!

Anne's mom has great ideas, just like my mommy. She always finds a way to make me happy!

Anne was so excited for her birthday party at Crayola Experience. She gave 10 of her friends an invitation for her birthday party. Anne is going to be 6 years old on her birthday. She has been planning this party for a long time.

Unfortunately, her birthday party is canceled because of Covid-19. Anne was sad and she said, "It is going to be the worst birthday ever."

Her mom has a great idea.  She emailed her friends' parents and said, "We have to cancel going to Crayola Experience. But I would like to surprise Anne with a party on Zoom at the same time. Can you please sign up for it?"

It was the day before her birthday. Her mom makes cake and decorates. The next morning, when Anne wakes up, there is a surprise waiting for her in the kitchen! "What is this?" said Anne. Mom said, "Your friends are here on Zoom to have a party and a fun birthday celebration!" Her mom also had fun art supplies laid out. Anne was very happy to meet her friends online and have her own Crayola Experience!

Chapter 2 : Lesson from a Peanut

This is a story about how to remember things that are important!

Just like the story, my favorite nanny, Dot Aunty, always made sure not to give us food we cannot have!

One day, a nanny names Roselina came to  Anne's house to baby sit. Anne's parents needed to go to a very important meeting far away.  Roselina went inside and talked to the parents. She asked, "Can I have a list of the things that Anne can't eat?" "Why?" asked Anne's mom. Roselina smiled and said, "Because of this story!"

"A few years ago, I was babysitting a 4 year old girl named Peach. She was allergic to peanuts. The parents told me, but I forgot. So I gave her my favorite peanut soup one day. She had to go the doctor.  

Thankfully, she was OK after taking tablets. But, I learned a very important lesson," Roselina told Anne's parents.

"That is why I need a list," Roselina said. Anne's parents gave her the list and left. Roselina looked carefully at the list. It said that Anne is a vegan. "That's easy! I can still make my favorite peanut soup with veggies. Yummmm!" Roselina told Anne. They had the tasty soup and at the end, they had some vegan pancakes! And of course, played all day!

Chapter 3 : Safety First!

This is a story that reminds us to always be safe when you use new tools, and to always listen to our parents!

Just like the story, my daddy allows me to make new and exciting things, but tells me how to stay safe!

It was a cold day outside. Anne and her dad were making a tree house. Anne's dad was getting the wooden logs, ladder, table, and tools ready. Anne was excited. Her dad said, "If you want to use a tool, you have to promise to wait for me. I can make sure that you don't get hurt."

When they were building, Anne's dad's friend came to the house. Her dad had to go inside to speak with him. Anne got bored waiting, so she decided to start building alone.

She tried to cut the logs with the saw, but she did not know how to hold it. So she accidentally got hurt! She screamed "DADDYYY!!!"

DADDYYY!!!

Anne's dad came quickly, and he put a bandage on her. He told her, "Dont do anything. Wait for me. I will come after my friend leaves". After his friend left, they built the treehouse together. Her dad taught her how to use all the tools properly and carefully. 

Anne said, "Thank you, Daddy. I love my tree house. Also next time, I will wait for you or mom, when I use sharp things."
