Once upon a time, there lived a man named Farmer Brown. Farmer Brown lived on a small farm with his wife, Mrs. Brown.

One day, Farmer Brown was working in his shed when Mrs. Brown came up to him.

"Farmer Brown," she said, "the grands are coming soon and you need to run to the store."

"Okay," he replied, "what do I need to pick up?"

"White milk, brown milk, cantaloupe, watermelon ... "

"Wait wait wait," he said. "I need to write this down."

So Farmer Brown went to the house to make a list. Meanwhile, Suzie pig overheard Farmer Brown. Suzie pig had lots of little piglets who were very hungry, but she was out of milk. After hearing Farmer Brown, Suzie had an idea.

"I'm going to ride in the back of Farmer Brown's truck to the store so I can get some milk for my piglets."

Also on this farm there lived a family of mice. Gray mouse had lots of little mice who were very hungry, but she was out of cheese. After hearing Farmer Brown say he was going to town, Gray mouse had an idea.

"I'm going to ride in the back of Farmer Brown's truck to the store so I can get some cheese for my babies."

With Farmer Brown still in the house, Suzie pig carefully approached the truck. When she made sure the coast was clear, she readied herself ...

And LEAPED into the back of the truck!

But, as she jumped, she felt a small pull on her tail. Gray Mouse had grabbed her tail, saying "WEE" as she jumped.

After they landed, Suzie pig and Gray mouse rushed under the hay to hide as Farmer Brown came out to the truck.

"Hmm, I should take out some of that hay so it doesn't blow out. But where is my pitchfork?"

He looked all around as Suzie pig and Gray mouse shook with fear. When he couldn't find it, he shrugged and got in the truck to head to town.

Farmer Brown drove his truck to town. On the bumpy road, his truck went

the whole way there.

When they got to the store, Farmer Brown went in with his long, long list. After making sure the coast was clear, Suzie pig jumped out of the truck bed with Gray mouse on her tail screaming,

"WEEEE!"

They all went inside. Farmer Brown went to the people aisle, Suzie pig went to the pig aisle, and Gray mouse went to the mouse aisle.

Farmer Brown went down the people aisle buying the things on his list. Suzie pig went down the pig aisle to buy a quart of milk. Gray mouse went down the mouse aisle to buy a wheel of sharp cheddar cheese.

After they all bought their groceries, they all headed out to the truck. While Farmer Brown was still checking out, Suzie pig and Gray mouse jumped into the bed of the truck, Gray mouse grabbing Suzie's tail, saying

"WEEEEEEEE!"

all the way into the truck. They hid back under the hay and waited until Farmer Brown came out with his groceries. He loaded the backseat with his groceries and cranked the truck.
