This story is dedicated to my own two doggies, Athena and Gizmo, who both continue to play rough to this day.

Athena is a German Shephard and Gizmo is a Shih Tzu. They are two very different sizes. While Athena is just a puppy, she is already much bigger than Gizmo, who is fully grown. They love playing with each other, but Athena often forgets how big she is when playing around with Gizmo. Here's a day within Athena and Gizmo's life while their owner Jenny is at work.

"Let's play together!" Athena shouts at Gizmo.
"I don't know" Gizmo scarcely says, "you are much bigger than me, and I do not want to get hurt."

"I am not even that big!" Athena exclaims, "It will be fine, I promise."
"Well if you say so, sure!" Gizmo says excitingly.
Gizmo and Athena began to tumble around the house, playing together. They went room to room, without even realizing it! It wasn't until Gizmo let out a gigantic squeal when they realized they ended up in the kitchen.

"Are you okay?" Athena asks concernedly, "why did you squeal?"
"My foot!" Gizmo yells, "you really hurt my foot!"
A few moments later, Jenny, Gizmo and Athena's owner, comes walking through the door from work to hear Gizmo whining in pain.

"Oh no, Gizmo!" Jenny says, "we have to take you to the vet. I think your foot may be broken"
What have I done? Athena thinks to herself. How could I have hurt Gizmo?
Jenny takes Gizmo to the vet and finds out Gizmo did break his foot. Gizmo came home the next day with a cast on his paw. Athena felt awful that she hurt Gizmo and couldn't stop thinking about it. She realized that she may have been too rough with him. She takes a vow to herself that she will only play nice from now on and will never hurt Gizmo again.
