Will was thirteen and lived in a forest. He had curly, red hair. He loved his dog, Sparkey and they were best friends. They often played fetch in the forest and liked to go on adventures.

Will heard his sister, Val yell, "William, come to the creek, there is a huge turtle!I think it is hurt!" "I'm coming," said Will. Sparkey's ball rolled down the path and into the creek where it

bumped the hurt turtle.

Will and Sparkey raced over to see the big turtle where his sister was at the creek. Val quietly said, "Look, I think the turtle is hurt, we should take it back to the house and help it."

They had a long walk ahead of them. Val had to go to the bathroom. They stopped at a cabin in the forest and Will held the hurt turtle. They needed to cross over two bridges to get back to their home to save the turtle.
