    It was a nice, sunny, day.The air smelled of cinnamon.Rainbow woke up extremely happy today, for it was her seventh birthday today! She quickly ran downstairs to where her mother was making some pancakes for her. "Happy Birthday, Rainbow!" her mother cried. Rainbow grinned. "I'm finally turning 7!" she said. She was very happy.

She was wondering,"what will this exciting day bring?" "It's time for school,Rainbow!" her mother called. We'll do the rest of the celebrating after school." At school, her classmates threw her an amazing party. Mrs.Harriet(the owl with the graduation hat and glasses)and her sister(the owl with the party hat) even brought a cake for her!

Rainbow went home with Sparkle, her friend.But when they arrived at Rainbow's home, Rainbow's mother wasn't there! Rainbow burst into tears."It's my birthday and now my mother isn't here to celebrate it with me!" she sobbed."Don't worry, I'm sure it's going to be fine." Sparkle tried to comfort her. And deep down, she already knew it was going to be fine.

Suddenly, Sparkle noticed a trail of sprinkles on the ground.They followed it outside. It led them to the gates of the Enchanted Forest. "Should we go in?" Rainbow asked. She had always wanted to pass the gates, and explore all the wonderful things her mother told her that are there. "Yeah, we should go in. Your mother probably left this trail of sprinkles." Sparkle answered. 

So they continued following the sprinkles. Not before long, they came across some kind of flying animal."Oh, no! This must be one of the creatures I heard of that flies and usually attacks!" Rainbow cried while picking up a stick to defend herself. She hit the flying animal and immediately it burst into a pile of candy.Startled, she jumped back into another one! It burst into candy, too.
