This is a story about me and my love for horses. Since I could remember, I've always had a strong connection and profound love for all horses. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have been in love with horses since I was a little girl. From my cowgirl hats and boots, my bedroom decor, figurines, books, ribbons and toys, one could almost say that I live and breathe horses.

One year ago I had the opportunity to show a horse named Allie (see picture) at Palgrave Equestrian Park where the Pan Am games were hosted in 2015. My Aunt Nicole owns Allie and she needed a rider to show her. I was super happy when she asked me to ride at Palgrave because it is an elite equestrian park and is home to many experienced and named riders. When I first arrived there I was taken back by the landscape and how big it was. Before I competed, I had the opportunity to watch some other riders; I was amazed how good they were. When it was my turn to show, all I can remember was how much fun I had and at the opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised that I placed 1st, considering it was my first time riding Allie and at Palgrave Equestrian too!

These pictures are from last summer when I showed at Teen Ranch. The pony I'm on is named Flicka, whom I rode most of last summer. I showed in the Beginner Hunter and Hunter under Saddle division. The picture to the left I placed 1st place for Hunter and 3rd for the Hunter under Saddle. This division is judged on the horses movement and how well it ractes to the riders cues. The picture to the right, I received two ribbons, this time 4th and 6th place. I competed a few more times at Teen Ranch last summer, and in my opinion, I think I did really well. Flicka and I make a great team!
