It all started at the North Pole when Santa was giving
out assignments. Santa decided to assign two elves
to the same house because he thought these two
elves would work well together at a house with
quadruplets.

The Jefferson’s house
was already decorated
for Christmas and you
could just feel the joy
inside the house.
There were four
children at the
Jefferson’s named
John, Bob, Tiffany, and
Sidney all the age of
five. The children
could not wait until
Christmas Eve when
Santa would come to
bring them presents.
Just then they heard
two thumps at the
front door. The
children ran to see
what the noise could
be.

They opened the door to run outside and the
two girls tripped over two boxes! Tiffany and
Sidney stood back up, and the boys picked the
boxes up to take them inside and open them.
To their surprise it was not one but two elves
on the shelf. They immediately began thinking
of names. Tiffany and Sidney decided to name
the girl Shelfalina. John and Bob named the
boy Shelfis.

Over the next few days the elves hid in
many places such as the Christmas tree,
on the bookshelf, and in the kitchen. The children
always seemed to look for Shelfalina first every
day.

Each night as Shelfis and Shelfalina come
back from the North Pole they raced to see
who could be the first elf to hide at the
Jefferson’s. Shelfalina was just a little faster
than Shelfis and she always got the best hiding
spots in the house. One night Shelfis was very
upset at Shelfalina so he told her that she
needed to give him an opportunity to hide in
all of the good spots and she said “No, you just
need to be faster!”

Shelfis became even angrier with Shelfalina
after their conversation. Then he came up
with a plan to trap her so that he could get all
of the children’s attention. The next morning
Shelfalina decided to hide in the closet beside a
pack of extra ornaments the family could not
fit on the tree.

All of a sudden BANG! Shelfis slammed the door
and locked Shelfalina in the closet! “Who’s fast
now?” he asked her. “Let me out! Let me out!” she
screamed. “Never!” said Shelfis.

The family looked and looked for Shelfalina
until the quadruplets had to go to school.
Later that evening Shelfis returned to the
North Pole to report to Santa and then flew
back to the Jefferson’s house. Shelfalina
begged and begged for Shelfis to let her out of
the closet but he wouldn’t.

Meanwhile, Santa became concerned about
Shelfalina because she didn’t report to him the
previous evening. He decided he should find
her and make sure she was alright. Santa
waited until the children went to school and
their mom and dad went to work and then he
jumped into his sled and flew to the Jefferson’s
house. When he arrived all was quiet in the
house. Shelfis was nowhere to be found nor
was Shelfalina.

Santa continued to look around the house when
he heard a small voice coming from the closet in
the living room. He immediately recognized the
voice. It was Shelfalina! “Shelfalina! What
happened?” he said as he began to open the door,
“How did you get stuck in the closet?” “It was
Shelfis, Santa! Shelfis locked me in here,” she
exclaimed! Just then, Shelfis slammed the door,
knocking Santa into the closet too! “Yeah, it was
me, Santa! I locked her in the closet and now you
are stuck too!” “No one likes me because you guys
are always around. If you are locked up then
everyone will have to like me!”
