What is a Tornado?
A tornado is a rapid column of air that goes to almost 500 Km per hour but on land, it only goes about 50 Km per hour. It forms inside a large thunderstorm and touches on the ground.
Where and When do Tornadoes Happen?
Tornadoes can happen anywhere but about 2/3 of the tornadoes in the world happen in the USA, from the Dakotas to Texas, an area called the Tornado Alley. Usually from late spring to early summer.
