I dedicate this book to my Parents and Siblings, especially my Sister who helped me a lot in finalizing this project.

Without the help of my Family I would never have been able to create a book like this….!!     

                                     The surprise!

It was a lovely day at Antarctica ...                   

A cute little penguin that was just 1 year old was walking in the penguin street of iglooland.Her daddy left iglooland on a business trip to an unknown land  when she was a baby, and never returned. Mommy penguin took  great care of her, and named her little Cleo. 

4 years later,   Cleo grew up to be an obedient   penguin.                                                                                               

That evening                                           

“Cleo come help me in the kitchen.” “Ok mom”   after helping her mom, Cleo asked “Mommy can I go out and play with snowy and icy please?” “Ok Cleo but come fast for dinner”              

Cleo ran out to play with her friends.

When she went out of her Igloo she noticed that the mailbox had a letter, she removed it from the box, it had a new ship picture pasted on it. Cleo went inside again and said “Mommy look at this letter.” Cleo stop running fast you might slip.”  

Cleo handed the letter to Mommy penguin. “Mommy what does it say.” “Wait Cleo let me open the letter first” then she read aloud                                                                                                       

“Penguins of Antarctica we are boarding a new ship, ice crew to ice land, with room and enough food for 1 month. If you want to come along then come to Antarctica ticket center and book your ticket to your aspiration.”

Cleo’s birthday

Cleo eyes sparkled as she said “Mommyyy can we go also” “hmm Cleo we.. Cleo cut her off in the middle “please please please please pleeeease”

“Ok Cleo we will sign up tomorrow"                                

Yaay! I will ask snowy and icy if they are also coming.

“Go and come fast to eat dinner and sleep early ok Cleo. Cleo??” SLAM shut the door.

Early next morning, “Cleo wake up don’t you want to go to sign up. It will at least take 4 hours to reach the center.” “Huuh ok mom” Said Cleo yawning. Finally after, booking the ticket.

“Mommy when are we leaving?

“On your birthday that is day after tomorrow.”             

“Ok mom I can’t wait” said Cleo Jumping up and down as if she was on fire. The two days passed very fast. Cleo finished packing the things she needed also helped her mom a lot.

The night before going, at dinner,

“YIPPEE tomorrow we are going” said Cleo by singing. “Yes Cleo, eat fast so that you can sleep early and wake up early” 

The next morning,

“Happy birthday Cleo.” said mommy penguin “thank you mommy” said Cleo blushing

“We are going to celebrate your birthday on the ship.
