Once upon a time, God created a beautiful garden, with trees and flowers and fruits. He named it the Garden of Eden.

God then created a man out of clay, and breathed life into him. He named him Adam.

Adam could enjoy everything the lovely garden had to offer. But there was one thing he must never, ever do.

Adam could not eat the apples from the big tree in the middle of the garden. But God soon realised that Adam was lonely.

So he used one of Adam's ribs to create a wife for him, named Eve. They happily ate fruits from the tree of life, but never from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

One day, Adam and Eve came across the forbidden tree. There was a snake hanging from it, next to an apple.
