It was the first day of school and I was already dreading it. I enjoyed my Summer dreaming of becoming a super hero and fighting crime against the town. I, however, would soon find myself face to face with a mean green monster.

Mrs.B first taught us about how we are to help those in need. She said "see a problem, fix the problem". I was confused by what that meant, but soon would figure it out. She said how we are to abide by a Code of Ethics. That included helping others, showing respect, being a leader, using manners, and using appropriate language.

Lily who sat next to me is in a wheelchair. We were working on creating our table name and banner when Kelly pushed her scissors to the middle of the table so Lily couldn't reach them. Kelly poked Lily's arm and laughed as Lily tried to reach her scissors. I stood up from my chair, told Kelly that wasn't nice and that she was a green monster. I then used my super hero stretchy arms and gave Lily her scissors.

At lunch I watched tiny Asian Anna get tripped by Kelly and her milk spilled all over her new pink dress. As Mrs.B came to take her to get changed, I asked if I could help. I remembered my mom was worried I would get spaghetti sauce on my new shirt so she packed me another outfit. I stood up looked at Kelly and said "the naughty green monster needs to learn her Code of Ethics".  

I ran to my backpack and handed Mrs.B and Anna my second outfit. With tears in both their eyes, they thanked me and got Anna cleaned up. I was rewarded with a super helper badge.
