Musk's legacy
PayPal. The next step would be X.com, a company that was dedicated to controlling financial services and payments through the network through simple steps. Its merger with Confinity - a company that allows money transfers between Palm Pilot devices - would give rise to the well-known Paypal Inc.
In just 5 weeks, Paypal had more than 100,000 customers, something that led competitors such as Visa or eBay to take legal action to close Paypal. This was not the case and Ebay would buy Musk's new company for $ 1.5 billion by the end of 2002

and after many years and working on this great project, Musk is focusing all his work to achieve two objectives:

Musk wanted to help design a sports car on the same basis as AC Propulsion. By 2004, together with Matt Tappenhig and Martin Eberhard, Tesla Motors was created, with the intention of mass producing the AC Propulsion T-Zero model.
